Quick Forza 3 question please

Yes i know there is a dedicated thread for this game but lets be honest its far to big now.

Q: why am i allowed to take part in (single player) low class races in higher class cars.

for example i was just allowed to race against a load of D class cars in my R2 class audi.
is this normal or a bug ?

Its normal, its accesibility for those who seem to want to win the races for no challenge at all.

Personally I only ever did that once, and that was by accident, just makes the entire thing pointless!

On career mode or quick race? I know for a fact I've been prevented from racing in lower classes in my 458.

its in career mode. i dont seem to have any control over it.
just seems silly lol.

Hmm not too sure then :confused:

One thing I've noticed is the huge gap in the opponent difficulty scale. Medium is too easy and hard I just can't catch up with them

buy yourself some tune setups for the cars and hard ai becomes fun not impossible

I think it's due to some n00b @ Turn 10 not enforcing race restrictions well enough.

Posters say Class D but the actual requirements usually seem to be 'RWD' or 'Limited to Japanese 3 doors'

I'd say it's sloppy coding

The class on the posters just reflects the max of the cars in the race, not the race restrictions.

when you look at the entire event calendar you will find that most races are class based and you can only 'cheat' this way in about 45% or less thus my opinion is who cares ? I love tuning up a little kia or whatever to R3 class and destroying a feild of stock ferrari's and such lol

The alternative is, remember, catch up AI which i hate and linear progression of difficulty across all races which IMO makes the whole upgrade system pointless as you can never get ahead of the competition you just upgrade to stay in line which makes it pointless.

There are plenty of series' where the car is limited to class. E Class World Tour, Class A World Championship, Asian C Class Sprints etc etc

Real men use the class below if there's no limit
