Quick Freezer 7 Pro Question

May as well see how it goes with the gloop that it came with first of all. If there are problems then remove, re-apply with AS5, and re-seat. At least you've got a tube of AS5 in reserve which you will inevitably need in the future.

The stuff that comes with the Freezer 7 is actually better than AS5, only by i bit though

O'rly?

I just took it off straight away as I had some AS5. Can you provide any links stating it is better than As5 mate?

Just make sure if you do decide to use the AS5 remove all traces of the previous compound with an appropriate remover.

I use Arctic Clean two stage remover :)

lol.. same here :D Normally kitchen towel as I use the same product each time (arctic) it doesn't really matter as it's not like i'm trying to avoid contamination from another product.

The problem I have with the Freezer's TIM is that it comes with WAY TOO MUCH applied. The compound itself is quite good, there's just too much of it. I usually scrape most of it off and apply with that.

I reseated my AF7 and used AS5 instead of the supplied paste. To be honest, I didn't notice much of a difference in temps, so I don't think there's much in it.

Actually, I have used the supplied paste, Arctic Ceramique and Artic Silver 5, and the Ceramique slightly pinched it.
