Quick GTX280 Question

Quick question regarding the installation of this card, its going in to an HP xw4600 workstation.

Now my question is regarding power, the cards in question are Palit GTX280's and they have a 6pin and an 8pin connector on it, it comes with a 6>8 pin converter but I only have one spare 6-pin connector so once its converted then I have run out.

Do I need to get a molex > 8pin convertor?
 
Ah ok... so that requires 2 x Molex connections to power the single 6-pin socket?

Christ this thing is a power monster!

Is the problem caused by this machine not being "designed" for sli and only has the one 6-pin connector?

You can get SLI ready PSU's that have extra gfx card connections on nowadays or if you have a modular one maybe you can just get the connections you need seperately from soemwhere.

Unfortunately they are 3 new cards going in to 3 brand new HP workstations which means I would have to buy 3 new power supplies for the client.

I think the cheapest/easiest option is going to be the convertor.
