OK so I myself have never used outlook but have my brother on the phone panicking about a fresh windows install. Lemme break it down for yah.
Remote email account for a business, its own inbox etc.
Local outlook linked to it.
Fresh install of windows and outlook, but no emails are on the remote webmail folder from before the reinstall. I am assuming from this that the emails arent stored on that server when linked to outlook.
Now because its a fresh outlook install (the old and new are both 2007) none of the emails are on it. We're both hoping and praying that the emails are saved locally in mydocs or somewhere similar as those folders are still around form the last windows install.
Is anyone familiar with how outlook works? Are these emails stored somewhere and recoverable with the fresh install? Any help much appreciated!
