Quick HDMI Question.

Hey fellas, just a quick question regarding HDMI display.
I've just ordered the HIS HD 7850 and it sports a HDMI socket,
I've also just bought a Dell Supersharp display which also has a HDMI socket.

Assuming that I can add 2+2 together and make 4 - does this mean if I simply buy a male HDMI cable and attach the two I'll be able to pull a sharper display?

The resolution is 1920x1200.

You can or use DVI or DisplayPort, whichever the monitor has.

Same image quality (they're all digital) and you won't encounter any potential HDMI scaling issues.

HDMI carries audio but that's irrelevant if the monitor doesn't have speakers or you don't use them.

Ahhh thank you for clearing it up!
So I won't see any real difference in using HDMI over VGA then basically.

If anything you should get proper 1:1 pixel mapping and a fully digital signal as VGA is an analogue connection type.

DisplayPort, DVI and HDMI are generally the best to use being digital.

VGA is analogue and the image may not be quite as good.
