Quick help for this slow cooked beef stew

I need it to feed 8 people not 4-6 people. The meal will be for 8pm tonight.


How long should it cook for in slow cooker? High/Low temp?

Any substitutions that should be made?

Disaster!

The slow cooker is only a 3.5litre which has a maximum capacity of 2.5 litres according to the manual. ****! That's not big enough for 8 people right? (1 of them is 10yrs old but even so!).

Any other recommendations?

How do I make dumplings? Is one dumping enough per person? How long are they cooked for?

What counts as a casserole dish? Metal tins count? It's got no lid though. Got an oven.

So just mix suet and flour together?
