Ok i'm getting confused by the system panel pin configuration for my Asrock 939Dual - SATA 2 motherboard. It says to configure the pins like so

Code:
pled+ pled- pwrbtn# gnd
hled+ hled- gnd reset dummy

what pray tell does gnd mean, and how do I tell which lead is the + and -. Oh and another thing my power led cable seems to have three pins!!!!

Helllppppppppp meeeeeeeeeeee! :)

Well, I'm not the best person to ask as I built my comp yesterday and messed these jumpers up (HDD light doesn't work, power light does), but I think gnd is ground.

- is usually black or white (the colour thats constant with all the connections for the case) and the + is usually red, green etc (the colour which is always different for each thing)...

pled+ ] power led
pled- ] power led
pwrbtn# - power button
gnd - ground
hled+ ] hard drive led
hled- ] hard drive led
gnd - ground
reset - reset switch
dummy - unused pin

All manuals for motherboards i've seen had this explained.

Check your manual. If you have, can you list the wires your case has and perhaps a pic of the pins or wires from the case.

Its normally really simple.
