Quick help please size diff x850xt and x1800xt

Just about to buy either the X1800XT or X1900XT when looking in my mobo note that my present card X850XT just squeezes past my Zalman heatsink but the plastic shroud of the cooler on the card is almost touching the blue Zalman heatsink!! The problem is that while the circuit board will have room the cooler unit may not on an upgraded card.
Does anyone know if the plastic cover on the x1800 or x1900 is the same size as the x850xt?
I would hate to buy one of these cards today only to find it does not fit!

I *think* the X1800XT's cooler is longer than that of the X850XT but not taller. (off from the card) however I may be wrong.

When you say almost touching your Zalman heatsink I don't quite follow. Do you mean your northbridge cooler?

Yes the Zalman ZM-NB47J Northbridge Cooler (SY-007-ZA)

ah right, Well as I said the X1800XT's cooler looks longer than that of the X850XT. Although by how much I couldn't tell you.
