just put together my new stuff, which is:

P5K SE, with an intel 2180, and 2Gb ram, and an X1950 Gfx Card, the system will not boot at all, not a flicker. But the card did not come with a 6-pin power connector, doe sit need one, if not what else could be wrong ?

It not the first PC I've built, but it is the first one ive had a problem with :(

Help

cant swap any parts, as the reason its all new, is that none of my old stuff will fit, DDR2, PCI-Express, and Sata, and a 775 processor.
Booo Hooo Hooo

Why didnt the card come with a power adaptor :(

If you are getting nothing at all then it prolly isn't the graphics card, afaik X1950s still work without the external power connected (at least in 2D). I'd double check the main power connectors (24 pin / 4 pin P4) are firmly connected.

Yup all the fans spin up, the HDD spins up, and this isnt the first one at all.

Everything is there apart from the PCI-E 6 pin cable, unless there is something broken.

I'm getting no Bios Beeps at all, so am not sure.

May have to take it to work on Friday, and ripp apart a Dell or two for spares.
