Quick help with Nikon D5000 Settings

Hey all,

I am off into Mauritius soon. I wish to capture the holiday (scenery, sea, blue sky etc) on my camera, can you tell me what kind of settings I need to set on the camera for a good pictures when the sun is shining?

what f setting, aperture, iso and shutter speed should I use? etc

There is no best setting. You should understand the relation between shutter speed, sensitivity and aperture.
