quick help with windows 7 format

basically i go into bios and set to boot from cd.
Upon restart it says press any key to load from cd/dvd.
i bash every single button in the world but nothing happens it continues to load windows as normal.
Any ideas?

Have you changed the boot order, make the cd/dvd drive the first and only drive?

ok i think my bios is broken so im guna sell my p.c

bios is just the motherboard right? so everything else should be ok

And then someone had to go and ruin it on the 6th.

If you have confidence (which I'm not sure you do), unplug all your hard disks and then try to boot the CD. Does that work?

Do you have a DVD reader or just a CD? Saw someone doing this recently with a W7 DVD.

Take the HDD out of the boot order?

Try a different keyboard. My G15 acts a bit strange when I want to get into the BIOS.

Get a PS/2 keyboard. I had the same problem with my old motherboard. It wouldn't recognise USB keyboards in the BIOS/POST.

Yes my MoBo is currently in need of a bios update to allow me to recognise my G15 within the BIOS.
The hilarity of not being able to strike DEL, until I BIOS update to allow me to strike DEL.

Must plug in another keyboard at some stage and sort that, weirdly it wasn't always the way.
