(Not sure if im posting in the right section)

Pcs been acting strangely past few days screen tears and pc just freezes when i put it under load (i.e playing a game). Im assuming its just overheating issues on the gfx card. However dont see why it started all of a sudden, fan on it and every other fan seem to be working normally. Anyone have had this problem before and would it be wise to buy a gpu cooler if problem persists? (have a 8800gt)

you could try running furmark or 3dmark vantage, see how it performs under them, does sound like gfx prob due to the tearing

are the fans all full of dust? may be causing over-heating

cleaned the fans out just recently, about a week ago, just checked them again theres hardly any dust on them.
