Quick help

i can connect my pc to the tv fine using a vga cable and a dvi adapter, but i just bought a hdmi cable and a mini hdmi cable, and they both fit fine but the picture quality is far worse that the vga cable and the resolution is all messed up ? any help please is much appreciated, btw my graphics card is a gtx 560 and i have a full hd 1920x1080 monitor.

I've adjusted the picture and its all fits fine it's just the picture quality is terrible ?

Yeh the res is set to 1920x1080 where would I find pixel map settings on nvidia control panel ?
