Hi folks

Just a quick question before my insurance company opens at 9. I was meant to be picking up my new car today but due to the cheque not cashing yet I do not think I am going to be able to pick it up. The problem is, I had changed my insurance over based on getting the car today, old car is no longer insured as at midnight last night but since I am now probably not going to get the car until tomorrow at earliest, can insurance companies give you like an extra two to three days cover without too much of a hassle?

Thanks

Doubtful if the policy has already been cancelled or switched over. They may be able to offer you a 7 day cover note but they often come at quite a hefty cost for the 7 days. I think I paid about £80 for 2 weeks on a courtesy car, which compared to the £100 a month i way paying for my mondeo, was pretty hefty

Thanks for the reply guys! Good news though, even though I cannot see the funds being debited at my end, they seem to have given me the green light to go in and pick it up at lunch time today :D
