How long is the usb cable supplied with the £25 iPad2 dock?

If it's anything like the iPod/iPhone dock, it doesn't come with a USB cable!

If it doesnt come with one 3rd Party cables are very cheap for a good length.

Does anyone elses iPad2 not charge through usb? I can only charge it through the mains?

Do you know if I can still charge my iPad via my dock into my PC?

It does charge via USB, but more slowly and only when the screen is off. It will display 'Not Charging' otherwise.

Its the same with the dock.

It's a shame there arent any cases for the iPad 2 yet.

It only charges with the screen off? Is the current draw too large for the system to run from usb? Basically needs a mains source of its own?

Only certain Macs can charge it, as it requires more USB power than normal hardware can provide.

This works a treat, my PC now charges it just as fast as the mains adapter it comes with. I have no idea how this works, guess there must be a lot of spare capacity in the USB power circuit over and above the 500ma it normally handles.

No where has the genuine iPad2 docks at the moment only the iPad1 ones, don't think its even been released yet :eek:
