quick lapping Q

The lapping guide reccomends a glass surfice, which i havnt got.

I dont see why it cant be done on a desk surfice? still flat enough to me or is their something im missing

ok never mind completely didnt think of glass out of picture frames till now, thanks boys

well i did it, on a sheet of glass. And now wish i didnt as i still have extreme dodgy temps.
