I know ones a point and shoot.

I bought a Canon Ixus 800IS to replace a Sony W12.....

Not really keen on the canon - auto modes seem a bit hit and miss... am not a photographer but still...

anyways ....

maybe a chance of a

Fujifilm S 9500 camera.... is this a good camera - better shots with this ?

and would use the video facility a bit.

In answer to what you asked on the Sale forum, yes the camera will take as much video as your memory card/battery can take, only got a 2gig myself and that can take almost half hour of video at best setting the cam can do for video

Been testing the canon G7 with my 9500 and i honestly think the G7 might be better than most cases IMO lol :/

I was going to do a bit of shameless promotion about how my s9500 is currently on a popular auction site with no reserve but I thought I better not...

runs... and goes looking :)

9500 / 9600 is a very good, they were "according to several reviews" designed to give DSLRs a run for their money, and according to the same reviews, they are a close alternative.

I almost got one myself, the one lens zooming and maunal focusing was a big point for me, but in the end I went for a refurbished nikon d50 kit for the same price
