Hi guys,

I've just noticed that a Macrium update has installed a 'boot' folder in my C: drive, do I need it?

Thanks.

Depends what version of Reflect you are running, the update would not do this, but the installer would...

Only the free version. I went to make a backup on Sunday and as I opened the program, downloaded an update and now I have the folder :)

It's a tiny folder but I do like a tidy C: drive...

Its used for the rescue CD, it is where all the WAIK and rescue files are kept when creating the rescue CD and needs to exist to create the iso/CD.

But if I've already created a cd? Would I still need it - I don't think I even created the cd on the machine in question?

Just thought it was a bit weird that its only appeared after my recent updating. As long as its nothing untoward, I'll leave it ;)

Thanks.

Basically it downloads a few files into the directory and mounts the wim file in that directory as well for the exe injection

Nothing untoward :)
