quick mem question

i recently bought some ocz memory from the shop and im almost positive it was pc2-8500
now when i look in cpuz its telling me max bandwidth is pc2-6400 ( 400mhz )
the part number is OCZ2P10662G
now im unsure as to what i have 6400 or 8500
can anyone help me confirm this please

just checked the label on the stick and its definatly pc2-8500, why does cpuz show 6400 ?

Because that is the standard speed. It is cerified at 1066MHz but you need to manually set it at that speed in BIOS

but why does it say max bandwidth pc2-6400, when its 8500 ?
or am i missing something ?

i can change the frequency to either
884
1011
1056
1122
and so on
currently set to auto
what do i need to do to get the best performance out of this ram ?

i am a little confused as to how this works, if somebody could please explain it would be very very much appreciated
my current oc cpu is as
fsb @ 421 with a multi of 9.5
dram freq @ 421 with a fsb dram at 1.1
