Quick memory compatibility question

Current spec:

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz @4.8ghz
Noctua NH-D14
Corsair Obsidian 650D
MSI Z77A-GD65
Samsung 128GB SSD 830
Corsair Professional Series AX750w
8gb Mushkin Redline Ridgebacks 1866mhz
Asus Xonar Essence ST
Gigabyte Windforce 3 7970 ghz edition

Would like to upgrade to 16gb of memory.

Looking at getting either 1 or 2 of 8gb (2x4gb) Corsair Vengence Red 8GB DDR3 2133 MHz CAS 11-11-11-27

Will the memory work with my current memory, cpu and motherboard?

Checking around the web apparently the 3570k can only really use up to 1600mhz memory, but mine seems to be working fine?

DDR3 1066/1333/1600/1866*/2000*/2133*(OC), 2200*/2400*/2600*/2667*/2800* (OC, 22nm CPU required)

Thanks, does this mean that i can just buy 1 set of the Corsair ram and it'll work fine with my current ram? Just the speed will be slower?

Yes, set the XMP and it will run at 2133MHz.

Your CPU is a 22nm one.

My Mushkin Ridgeback is clocked at lower speeds though? So wont that bring the speed of the corsair down?

If the Mushkin cant run at the speed the Corsair stuff can then you have to run the memory to what the worst RAM can achieve.
