Quick memory question re: AMD 880G chipset

why do you want 6gb or ram, you'd be better just going for 8 gb across 4 slots, using 3 slots can cause all sorts of problems especially if overclocking
 
Use photoshp quite a lot running at 2560x1440 so I figured the more the better.

anandtech comparrison tool isnt worth looking at...

compare the x264 , cinebech , handbrake benchmarks we did on this forum to the results on andtech....

wonder why amd seems to much slower compared to results obtained on this forum. :rolleyes:

we proved x6 > i7 930 in those benchmarks yet anandtech says different
 
Sorry, I was mainly referring to the Photoshop test (since that is what he will be using), and the anadtech test does tally with other photoshop benchmarks comparing the X6 and the i5 on other sites.

Do you have other photoshop benchmark results that go against this?
 
no but seeing as the other ones are flawed i wouldnt believe them how can you compare benchmark results taken at different times with different versions of software.
