what kinda speed differnce would i see going to a 7-7-7-20 from a 5-5-5-15

would it be noticeable? (i know it will be slower? i think)

talking about ddr2

edit: from 2x1gb ddr2 dominators to TWIN2X4096-8500C7 PC2-8500 4GB Kit 7-7-7-20

do u think its worth it or should i keep looking till i find the same timings? 5 5 5 15 ?

What you are buying with the 7-7-7 kit is the amount of ram. The higher the density of the ram the harder it is to get low latency. So 2x4GB will mean much lower latency and a hit in bandwidth. Just how much is offset by the gains in processing. Assuming you are running memory heavy applications.

Normal gaming - not worth it. Personally I would suggest 2 x 2GB in the DDR2 range right now.

it would be 2nd hand from mm asking 55 im hoping to slip a 45 offer in

ye iv been told elseware also about the kington incase i cant claim warrenty on the 2nd hand ram , but in this day and age saving a few pound when possible might be the better option even tho i would normally prefer to buy new
