Quick Monitor question: WITH SYNC-ON-GREEN ?

VGA MONITOR [WITH SYNC-ON-GREEN CAPABILITY]

Never come across it before, have just found out the ps2 linux kit comes with a cable that allows you to hook it up to a monitor so am curious as to how well it works and if I can source one.

Never heard of this sync on green thing, what is it ?
And where would I go about checking if my monitor is capable? (Hansol 920P)

Video signals can be synched in various ways - horizontal sync (hsync), vertical sync (vsync) and sync on green being the most common

The vast majority of monitors will support sync on green

Here's a list of certain monitors that have been tested:

Seems to be a bit hit and miss really. A Hansol 900P is listed as non working.
