Hi guys,

Would a cracked bumper (the plastic shell of bumper) and a dented wing make a car fail its MOT?
Thanks in advance guys :)

one other question.. is a missing/broken wheel arch trim a MOT failure item/action?
I will replace the bumper, wing and wheel arch trim when i get the parts.. need to get the MOT sorted asap for insurance

You wanna see the arches I "reconstructed" for my mate's AE86 road rally car. Lasted all night they did!

Yes. ( unless UK regulations are different, but all lightning fitted on the car should also be in working order).
But such a set of bulbs costs 2 ( euros here, so quids there I'd imagine) at most at a service station, it's also a easy job to replace.

edit:
The next lamps that work in conjunction with the side/position lamps are the registration plate lights. The requirements for these are straight forward and must be:

•Fitted
•Secure
•Working
•Correctly positioned
•Not flicker when tapped
•Not show a white light to the rear

Ah, so thats why I see so many cars around recently with tape all over the bumpers :P

Snowdog is right, it will fail on the lights. Comes down to the number plate not being visible at night because of the blown light. Usually 2 min job to replace them though :)

Not on my Celica. It's a pain! I'll have to sort that before my MOT at the end of the month.
