quick mot, tax question

hi lads,
basically my girlfriend has a rover 400 which at present is untaxed and SORN and has been for past few months as she is learning to drive, she wants me to take the car for an mot as the current one has expired, i am insured as a named driver on her policy, is it legal for me to drive the car without tax to an mot station as basically she is unable to tax it without the mot certificate,

As long as its booked in you should be fine.

It is legal to take an untaxed car to an MOT station as long as the MOT is pre booked and you are insured.
