Hi, I currently have an Asus P5K premium motherboard that I believe has issues with the PCI slots.
So I intend to replace it because my sound card is in these slots, and having only just installed everything a few months ago I don't really want to reinstall 200+ GB of stuff again. If I replace it with another P5K premium will I need to reinstall the OS or anything again?
Much appreciated if someone can help
*EDIT* Just read up on something similar and it seems I may have to repair it with the recovery console or something. Now if I do decide to get a mobo with a different chipset, will I still be able to get away with doing this or will I have to reinstall everything?
