Quick noob question about my Lian Li case

Hello.

I have a Lian Li PC61 like this one - http://www.littlewhitedog.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=35

I currently have 2 HDDs in the case, fitted in this bit, one at the top, one at the bottom, so they aren't too close - http://www.littlewhitedog.com/view_image.php?view_image=images/reviews/hardware/00039/000ae_big.jpg

I have never known what the bigger removable cage thing at the bottom is for though, this thing - http://www.littlewhitedog.com/view_image.php?view_image=images/reviews/hardware/00039/000af_big.jpg

If it is for additional HDDs, how the hell do I mount them in there? Because it is too big to secure them. Do they go on their side? Is that safe?

Yeah, i'd say it's a vertical rather than horizontal mount.

Done this plenty of times with no issues - should be perfectly safe!

Excellent. I've got a spare 250Gb drive lying around with literally nothing on it, so I figured I may as well use it as another scratch disk for Photoshop
Or just have it as my 'personal videos' drive...ahem.

Can anyone else confirm that the lower cage in this case is actually for mounting HDDs?

Yes it is for mounting hard drives, mine came with a bracket that slots inside to allow you to mount them horizontally.
