Hi guys,

I've been out the game a while travelling so struggling to try and appreciate all the new tech that's on the scene.. Anyway I've got a 3 year old Enermax 600w ish PSU that I bought when I upgraded to my skt939 X2.. Not sure of the exact model number right now unless I have a look in the guts of my pc..

My question is will this be compatible with the Asus P5Q Pro + E0 8600 + GTX280 spec that I'm currently sizing up or have the mobo connectors changed? I remember my Lanparty needing 4 mobo power connectors to just POST and yet the P5Q seemingly has just 1 24pin?

Thanks for any help,

Ben

Modern boards have just the single 24-pin connector, so if that PSU has one then you are fine, if not then there are adapters available. Some motherboards will also work with the older 20-pin connectors as well (that Asus one probably won't though).
