OT: I think Troop should have made his own thread, this was/is Cookie Monsters thread, for his picture. The thread title wasn't "whos got any from this morning?"

Sorry I'm stresed from work.

Back on topic - 1st shot - I like it, very nice and sharp good DoF, I would crop out that shadow and as much as the bottom left hand green as possible as it's quite noisey and then just have the fly in the bottom corner though. Otherwise, good shot.

2nd shot - It's nice, but over exposed, the glare from the wing distracts me.

Its depressing,

the new camera arrived with its kit lens (24-105L) and now i'm already thinking that I need (...want) a 100m f2.8 Macro and possibly also a 100-400L, now just for the tricky bit, finding the money - how much does a kidney go for these days?

Hate to sound like the wise guy but wouldn't it have been better to have bought the 100-400L & 100mm 2.8 and stick with the 300D? Or would you say the 5D was well worth it?

very happy with the 5D, wouldnt have swapped and gone for the glass and the 300D, also my 300D has been iffy since i fell on it in Bulgaria (when i broke my leg and dislocated my ankle at the start of the year)

just wait a few months and grab them when i can afford it, the 24-105L is a more than adequate lens for the vast majority of things.

Sorry guys, not trying to hijack the thread , thought it would be ok to post it, Did not want to start another Bug /Fly pic thread topic.

I've removed the Pic to keep everyone happy :)

.

dont worry about it mate, always nice to see other people's work, and its a great testimony to the super-zoom compacts that are out there.

feel free to throw it back up if you feel like
