Quick one, now have router do i really need software firewall?

I have tested my connection with shields up and it seems to be stealthed, is this good enough to remove the software firewall i have installed previously to going hardware router/adsl ?

I shall run bareback on this one and see if and what nasties may appear. Essentially i did not think software was applicable with a hardware solution so lets see what happens
