Guys

I need to buy an ADSL router for a frien of mine on Tiscali (Not the ISP I recommended to her but there you go) anyway is Tiscali PPPOA or PPPOE as I'm going to get her to buy a Netgear wireless router butI need to know which Tiscali use?

I have a nearly new DG834G 54mbps Wireless I could sell her?

Many Thanks! ;)

Handy as this router supports that :)
I think you'll find that just about every ADSL router on the market will support both PPPoA and PPPoE. It really isn't an issue. Also happens that although BT say their exchanges are PPPoA, PPPoE works fine too.

Yes Tiscali use PPPoA I am 99% sure. Virtually all ADSL modem/routers will support both PPoA and PPPoE anyway

Well I had to check 4 different routers in a large retailers shop the other week as I couldn't find a router that supported PPPOA so I wouldn't have said it wasn't an issue at that time

Thanks for the reply's though guys ;)

you found 'ADSL' Routers that didn't support PPPoA?

are you sure...
Quite. Given that 90%+ of the UK's ADSL market use it, I'd find it very hard to believe that someone would market a router without it.
