sorry new to pc gaming, had consoles for years so am not to clued up on whats out on the pc. i have tried a google search and dont really get very far as im not enitrely sure what genre this comes into, but basically, are there any games similar to tekken for the pc, i have found a few streetfighter games, but i am after something more along the tekken lines. sorry for such a stupid question.

will have a look at it, is it still in the old 2d style, or have they ventured into 3d?

also are there any decent boxing games like fight night, or cage fighting like UFC?

UFC only on the xbox or PS3 mate, think its the only MMA game out there. Not sure what the new EA game will be on, more than likely xbox and PS3 again -.-

got an xbox360 and ps3 aswell, just hoping to get rid of the 360 and concentrate more on the pc, but looking like the pc isnt as gamer orientated as i thought :(

i guess, but surely the pc has the capability of being a lot better than consoles, which is why i decided to go for a gaming pc. oh well, might just have to hang on to the 360 aswell.

mainly play football, racing and fighting games. trying to get into fps now i have a pc but would have been ideal to of had everything on one system.
how do pc versions compare with console games like GTA, resident evil, lego batman/starwars/indiana jones.... and just in general, i assume things like fallout, left 4 dead etc will be better on pc as the keyboard/mouse combo is more suited than a controller.

Imagine how good it would have been if it hadn't been nerfed. The very fact that you now play on PC entitles you to laugh at console gamers, even if you were struggling to hit 20fps on lowest settings. You're with the elite now. Don't forget that.

i was running at 60fps with everything enabled according to FRAPs, although res was only 1024x768.

never really understood WoW, not really my thing.

Im a pc gamer, my last console was the ps2.

I really would love Tekken on pc though, always has been my favourite fighting game serious since i played the first.

Cant spend the money to buy a console just for one game though.

i have got consoles too, and i do like them, but it seems that a pc can offer sooo much more. with ram upgrades, new graphics cards, better processors......being released all the time, surely it would be in their intrest to make games, and show them off in their full potential. the ps3 supports BR so the games can be bigger or in higher quality and graphics are supposed to be amazing, personally, i havent noticed too much difference between my ps3 and xbox 360, but have noticed a huge difference between both consoles and my reasonably low spec pc. just makes no sense why game companies dont do a decent version of the game for the pc.

Didn't you know? Nobody has a PC faster than a PS3. There's actually some good points in that thread about specialised hardware, points that go way over my head but essentially mean game developers are able to squeeze a lot more out of the hardware in a console than they could from a similarly-specced PC. Also, certain games like fighters, driving sims & sports sims don't gel with keyboard & mouse control, but that's just a matter of finding the right game controller - I've got a decent joystick (can you imagine trying to play Freespace on a console? *shudder*) and once I get a decent gamepad, there's not really any games I'd want on console rather than PC.

i never said that my pc was faster/better than a ps3, i was just stating that for the money and hype around the ps3 over the 360 i cant really notice any difference in game quality, yet when i played fifa2010 on both ps3, xbox 360 and on my pc i found that my pc seemed to be a better quality than the other 2, it also had more features, likewise i found that COD:MW2 looked and played a lot better on my pc than my 360, so maybe consoles are capable of more than a pc, but in my personal opinion i found my pc to be noticably better on the games i have been able to compare.
