Hi all,

I just reinstalled windows, so thought I would take the time to overclock my cpu as well whilst I was at it. In the end I just used turboV EVO which I had bundled on the motherboard disc. I used the auto-tune function, an it has overclocked my Phenom ii 965 BE to just under 4.2ghz apparently...my question is, do you think that it is ok to just leave it now? or should I use another method? Test it?...any guidance would be appreciated.....Not really familiar with all this tbh.:)

Thank you

May be worthwhile doing a stress test, see if its fully stable. Prime95 for example. But then again, i've never really got to a level where prime95 is realistic. It may crash at 100% but for what i do, it has never crashed. But if you want to test each core, go for it.

I also find that the auto overclock sometimes sets the voltage a bit high (for me at least). With my old 960T, my asrock mobo would set the voltage to be 1.45v @3.6GHz, but the chip would run fine at around 1.35v. So it may be good to see if you can knock a bit of voltage off with it still being stable.
