quick p/ex price question

off to look for car for missus tomorrow (dont ask it's awful )

what should we be looking for in p/ex ?

Audi TT , 52 plate , 180bhp, condition would be excellent for most cars but TTs tend to be well looked after so will say average ( needs all wheel refurbed ) good but maybe not perfect s/h . 104k miles


I was thinking £3.5k, am I in right ball park ?

I think so, try and get a bit more though. See what they come uo with as an offer but you should be abke to get an easy 4 (unless thr are buying is onky a grand more say) it would be difficult to get a hold of a good one one from any source for 3-3.5k.

depends on what your trading it in for, anywhere from 2.8k to 4k id say

I would say 3.5k would be the retail price, so around sub 3k for trade in is my punt!

my guess would be about 2-2500 as a trade in, px values have dropped a fair bit recently

yes, certainly seems they have, tried a few places and all were coming in about same, £2700

TT values have dropped lots in last year or so, I would think due to poor fuel economy
