Quick PayPal Question

I receive payment from someone and the funds are 'On Hold'.

If I decide to give a partial refund, will the money be taken from the 'On Hold' transaction or from my bank account?

I would think it would be your bank account.

On the main page it says the following:

Currency Available
£XX.XX GBP

Pending
£XXX.XX GBP

Balance
£XXX.XX GBP

On the refund page it says:

Note: If your PayPal account balance doesn't have enough money in it to cover this refund, money will be automatically transferred from your backup funding source.

I'm not too sure if they mean available balance or balance from the main page...
