Quick PC Case Question

Just a quickie, I ordered a case from the OcUK clearance which came with no standoffs. They've kindly sent me a set, but sadly they don't fit and fall straight out when the case is stood up.

How strong of a hold will I get if I use some industrial grade superglue on the standoffs to fix them to the case? It's for a basic LAN PC build and won't have any monster heatsink attached, just the stock Intel one and a 280x. The issue I have is that I don't want to A) go through the fuss of returning it and B) I'm unlikely the find a similar looking case for the price. So I'm thinking of ways to bodge it!

Superglue will be fine as long as you dont slide it about too much. Can you just not drill holes from bottom of case and/or screw the feet on ?

Ah it's not the feet, it's the motherboard stand offs. :)

if you got at least one with the case
measure it
go on the web and i am positive you will find replacements
but to save yourself the greef do research on them
or somebody can give you some info
i am the wrong person to ask sry

Was a KoLink case, no real manufacturer info on the web just what the OcUK team have.

Too late anyway, used some high viscosity super glue and its worked a treat. Made sure they were in there tight before mounting but they wouldn't budge. Time will tell if its a good long term solution, but its only a cheap sub £100 lan pc for guests so no big deal if something breaks. :)

Just reading this thread made me uncomfortable.

Please please please do not use superglue.

Contact the manufacturer & get them to send you the correct standoffs.

Edit: oh god it's happened.

easy enuff to get stand offs , pretty generic parts ... cant believe you have superglued ... seems like a accident waiting to happen there :(

The only extra weight other than the motherboard is a stock Intel heatsink and a 280x, which is held securely to the case by 2 screws anyway. 7 standoffs in total held by decent quality super glue so the weight is evenly distributed.

They're actually very secure, I tried getting one out after putting it in and couldn't without getting a pair of pliers and really going at it. :D

The standoffs I had were the standard ones which OcUK told me where from a similar case. It was far easier to bodge it than spend time and money researching. The case was from B Grade anyway!
