Quick photoshop request (fish scale pattern)

Hi,

I have been trying to source a decent black and white outline of a fish scale pattern for making some fish scale chequering on a rifle stock I made. The one pictured is the best I could find, but its not ideal.

It wants to be just the pattern, without the shading. It also needs to be bigger, so that when printed it will be around 6" square. I'm going to print it onto some sort of sticky backed tracing paper to then transfer it onto the stock. Like this:

I'm sure I could do it if I had photoshop installed, but I don't at the moment

. Also tried gimp for the first time and I couldn't figure it out.

Any help much appreciated.

EDIT: In fact the shading doesnt matter too much. If it could just be pieced together to make it larger for printing it would be great.

I can make the scale's smaller or larger if needed?

They're actually a much better match than the ones I found

. Could do with them being a similar size to the bottom picture I posted, as that looks to be about actual size. So probably half the size would be great.

That's perfect, thanks! I can always resize it in paint to get it smaller if I need to.

Now I just need to find where they sell sticky back tracing paper, as I cant find it in the UK.

Check your local art store...if it hasn't been closed down that is!
