Quick plot question - Vampire Bloodlines - SPOILER

Hi,

I've completed the game but my bro started the game a few days ago. Therese and Jeanette are just two personalities of course of the same person.

But in The Asylum, in Therese's office, what's with the large portrait showing, who I can only assume to be, father and his two daughters? Jeanette was created by Therese due to her abused childhood not a loss of a sister...

???

Erm it's been a very long time since I played it, but I think the plot line was that there were 2 sisters initially but one of them died/got killed so the other got herself a double personality.

I guessed that and I've never even heard of the game before. It must be from watching Heroes.

I know the painting - i suspect from having heard all the dialogue, that Jeanette/Therese created the other personality due to the abuse, and treated her as a separate entity.

She'll have had the painting commissioned by someone, to represent the 2 girls and the father, possibly adding to the idea that Therese/Jeannette are real twins?
Good painting tho... dark and brooding.
