There's a Apple Powermac G5 dual 1.8GHz 1GB 80GB HDD machine in a local shop for just under £300, thinking of getting - just want to check that's a decent price for it?

Seems reasonable - Same spec systems on eBay for around £450. However, with Snow Leopard around the corner which is likely to remove PowerPC support, I'd be wary about buying anything non Intel.

What Feek said. For that money I'd be tempted to buy a Mini for the little extra.
