Actually i'd better just check one more thing.
The reason I ask is that my 40GB drive is just about full, and it's got loads of crap on it I don't watch/listen to/play anymore.
Instead of carefully picking through bits, it's easier to just clear it all and start again, and re-download what I want.
I notice the PS3 has a "Format" utility, would it be safe to just use this, set the whole drive to one partition (like it is now) and start afresh?
I don't want any "adverse" side effects.![]()
I don't think you can set partitions with the HDD through the PS3.
There is a limit on how much you can download paid stuff, I think you can only download it 5 times.
I didn't know that. You can only download to 5 different consoles, you can download it as many times as you like on the 'existing' console. Basically if you got a new console (refurb/repair) and downloaded it you would lose one of your credits, you could however download indefinitely on that console from then on.
If your console breaks you need to 'deactivate' it, this will remove all DLC from the console and refund you one of your 5 credits. Basically, if you're careful you can keep all 5 of your credits forever, even if you replace your console.
I didn't know that.
So it only costs you one credit if you deactivate or activate an account?
How can it tell if i'm using the same console?
I'd also like to know if if I make a new PSN account, will I still be able to play my DLC?
