quick ps3 region question

i know the ps3 is region free atm, so i have ordered unreal tornament from the USA.

when it is released in the UK will i be able to play my friends who buy the UK version?

will it be restricted to the region the game is originally from?

or is it just matter which PSN account region u sign in2?

are there european servers active already?

I would have thought if anything, it would be to do with the region of your PSN.

With UT3 Midway have there own dedicated servers for the PS3, when i play online theres a whole load of midway servers with pings 2500+, and there are also a couple of midway servers with pings off 70-150 ( my broadband is poo at the moment). I guess these ones are some local midway servers ie Europe, so I dont think its locked to the games region, when the full game is out in the EU there will be a lot more.
