Quick PSU question before i7 purchase

Here is the spec my mate is aiming for:

Intel Core i7 920
Rampage II Extreme
6gb Corsair Dominator 12800
4870 X2

He uses a U2-UFO case so there are quite a few case fans and fan controllers.

The main question was whether or not a Corsair 750w PSU would handle it, or whether it would need the 1000w version. My initial thoughts were that it would be ok, but I figured I should get some other opinions

HX520 would be enough and HX620/TX650 well enough.
(all Seasonic made PSUs are quiet, one magazine found CWT made TX750 noisy.. but I guess most wouldn't hear the difference over noisy case fans)

These are 3DMark Vantage power consumption numbers with factory overclocked 4870X2 and include PSU losses (deduct 15%):

Time for reality check:
Did he need to bolt case to floor for preventing it from flying out through window and does he use hearing protectors?
If not then those fans aren't drawing more than couple dozen watts at most.
