quick psu question

just ordered a new psu (as mine went pop this morning) the thing it has a 'EPS/ATX12V 8-4 pin' insted of a normal 4 pin

the thing is my mobo (in my sig) only has a 4 pin connector on it, so how on earth does this connect? just geting abit worried now havent had a new psu for abit now you see :S

It will probably split into 2x 4 pin connectors. Most 8 pin connectors are made up this way nowadays.

what if it doesnt tho? just plug in half of it ?

If it does'nt i believe that you can plug half of the 8 pin in and have the other half sticking over the side of the socket.
