Quick PSU question

Aye it shoudl be grand!
As far as im aware the Atx 2 standard (or what ever were up to now) specifies the original 20 pin connector to be backwards compatable and the other extra 4 to provide that bit more power (as it works the other way with having a 20 pin in a 24 pin board)
But dont quote me on this! (im pretty sure thats how it works but a quick wip about on google should conferm it)
