quick PSU question

Would a 550w PSU such as the XFX Pro suffice for an overclocked 2500k based system? Will only ever be using a single GPU.

I would prefer a 650w of course one but money is tight.

May be you would consider this Antec TruePower 550W PSU instead? It is modular and with a free copy of 3DMARK11 (but best you confirm with OcUK if the offer still available first) :

It is corsair so you've got their premium service and it's an extra 50watts.

All good suggestions. Gonna go with the XFX though since I can get this locally (& suprisingly cheap OCuK!) & need a PSU very urgently.

the antec and XFX are made by seasonic, which is one of the best companies out there. they are both more efficient than the corsair, meaning the electric bill will be considerably lower. they are both more than capable of powering any single GPU PC out there.

personally i'd go with the antec

xfx is a very good brand for power supplies, better than corsair or ocz imo
