Quick PSU Question

Hi All,

I've been looking for modular cables for my old Zalman ZM600-HP PSU and for the life of me, I can't remember where I put them. Anyway, I've got 3 more HDD's I'd like to connect to my PC here so I wondered if I could use molex>SATA adaptors on my "Odd/Hdd" cable from the PSU. I'm guessing so, but then I wondered why they are different (4-pin instead of SATA 6-pin) connectors. Why didn't they make them all 4-pin or all 6-pin?

Will work fine as doing it now with my 2nd ssd drive as its just easier due to current cable layout.

OK, thought so - but any ideas why they've got SATA as 6-pin and molex as 4-pin? What do the other 2 pins do?

I believe sata also has a 12v supply but most drive just run off 5v anyway I think so molex is fine
