if you add external USB 3.5" hard drive add to WHS storage pool for file protection?

When you add another drive, internal or external, to WHS you can choose if it becomes part of the storage pool or is a backup drive. If you add it to the storage pool then you can enable folder replication and that will create file copies for protection.
