quick q

yea will be ok but drop the 290x and get 970sli... less power usage and about the same power output, plus get the MSI version and clock them bad boys

If you already have the dual 290X its not worth the outlay to change to 970s just to save a few watts.

Hi
didn't see these posts!
I had it all set out in the basket to xfire a couple of 290x with a 1300w platinum psu.
Then got offered a brand new CX750m 750w corsair from a friend
so I switched out the 290Xs last minute for the 970s and was well worth the punt!

It will probably be OK, the internals are solid in the CX series PSU's, but it is true that they are not up to the same standard as the likes of a Superflower.

They use CWT as the OEM if I recall correctly? That isn't too bad. I'd be comfortable having one in the place of my Seasonic XFX if my XFX failed.

The CX series can also provide close to the rated wattage I believe. :)

Sig needs to be no longer than 4 lines, to conform with the forum rules. A mod will delete it otherwise. You'll have to do it a bit like P4Clock's sig. :)

Nice spec though! :D
