Quick Q's on Tuniq 120/P67 and thermal paste

My MB has died so looking at an upgrade. Plan is limited spend but decent parts.

I currently have a Tuniq 120 cooler on a 775 board with Q6600. Can I use this cooler on a P67 board with say an i5 2500K? If so, will I need any sort of new backing plate to use correctly?

2nd'ly, when doing the above, does anyone have some good tips to remove TP from cooler and CPU and best products to use?
