I'm thinkin of updating one of my older builds to get a bit more life out of it. It runs on vista with 2Gb of RAM and I'm thinking of upgrading to 4Gb.

So i was wondering can i just stick the ram sticks in or will i hav to do stuff to the bios or reinstall windows or anything like that?

cheers

If your installing RAM then just put the new sticks in then boot the PC back
up again and windows will recognize there is more RAM in the PC, if you are running
a 32bit version of windows though, windows will only notice 3.5gig of RAM.
Were as if you have 64bit it will notice up to 16gig of RAM.

Hope this helps.
